2003 Mazda Protege

The Protege5 wagon and the Mazdaspeed Protege wagon sport compact are the two of the greatest models produced for 2003. The upgraded Mazda Protege sedan comes with three level trims, the base DX model, LX and ES. All trims have four-door body styles and a list of standard and optional features.

The interiors feature tilt steering wheel, front bucket seats, height-adjustable driver seat, a split folding rear seat, intermittent wipers, map lights, digital clock and isolated deck lid release. A roomy interior is one of its stand-out features. Passengers can relax and have comfortable rides with roomy rear seats and body space.

 
Safety and protection is provided by standard dual front airbags and emergency trunk release. LX and ES offer optional anti-lock brakes and front-side airbags. Exclusive features for LX and ES are cruise control, power locks and mirrors, tachometer and remote entry system.

Power is provided by a 2.0-litre DOHC 4-cylinder engine with energy boost of 130 hp at 6000 rpm and 135 lbs-ft of torque at 4000 rpm. Standard for all trims is a five-speed manual transmission with optional four speed automatic transmission. Automatic transmission for ES models come with manual shift gate for automatic and manual shifting.
